CT Scan: 64 Slice
A Computerized Tomography (CT) scan uses X-rays and a computer to create detailed images of the inside of the body.
St Joseph Mercy Hospital is excited about the new addition of 64 Slice computed tomography (CT) scanner. This has increased our diagnostic capabilities. In a matter of seconds, we can create three-dimensional images of the heart, brain, circulatory system, skeletal system, and internal organs. This scanner can diagnose narrowed arteries, internal bleeding, the early stage of cancers, and much more in a matter of seconds. It gives physicians the ability to detect disease early when it can be treated effectively and often requires less invasive treatments with better outcomes.
