St. Joseph Mercy Hospital is looking for highly motivated qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

RADIOLOGIST
1. Radiologist must possess a Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
2. Current registration with the Medical Council
3. Proven work experience as a Radiologist or similar role
4. Knowledge of general surgery practices to help diagnose and treat injuries

PHARMACIST
1. A Degree or Associate Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Guyana or any other recognized
institution.
2. A current registration/license from the Pharmacy Council.
3. Experience in a Hospital’s Pharmacy

FINANCE
Accountant: –
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2.
2. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a junior managerial position.
3. Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.
4. Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications.
5. Computer literate.

Clerks:
1. Five (5) subjects CXC inclusive of Accounts, Mathematics and English.

MAINTENANCE
1. General Services Worker and must have at least three (3) subjects at CXC level including Mathematics and English language.

DIETARY
1. Cook must possess valid food handlers’ certificate and three (3) year working experience as a cook.

Tutor/Clinical Instructor:

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises students in Nursing Skills (with emphasis on Patient Care).With constant supervision, must use initiative and independent judgment in assuming responsibility for various duties in relation to the curriculum, the Faculty, the Administration and other inter-related areas including acting as clinical instructor to individual students and groups in the Management of Nursing and plan and supervises the clinical experiences of the students in the course.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1. A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
2. Current registration with the Guyana Nursing Council of Guyana.
3. B.S.C. in Nursing, and/or Tutor certificate in Health Science Education from the University of Guyana
or equivalent.
4. Previous experience as staff nurse in Nursing Unit.
