Infection Prevention Control Officer (IPCO)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Infection Prevention Control Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing the Infection Control Standards, policies and procedures in infection control and to supervise the activities of the personnel assigned to that section. Continuously evaluate and put forward recommendations for the prevention and control of nosocomial infection.Monitor all Quality IPC incidents and key indicators to implement measures to reduce recurrence.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATIONS AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:

1. Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife with the General Nursing Council with five (5) years’ post graduate
experience.

2. Practical training in IPC would be an asset.
