To All Fathers and Father Figures in Our Workforce,
On behalf of the Human Resources Department, we extend heartfelt Father’s Day greetings and appreciation to all fathers and father figures within our organization.
Father’s Day provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the profound impact fathers have on their children, families, workplaces, and communities. The observance traces its origins to Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, who sought to honor her father, William Jackson Smart, a widowed Civil War veteran who raised six children on his own. Inspired by Mother’s Day celebrations, she advocated for a day dedicated to fathers, leading to the first Father’s Day observance on June 19, 1910. Over the decades, the celebration gained widespread support and was officially recognized as a national holiday in the United States in 1972. Today, Father’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world as a tribute to the dedication, sacrifices, and contributions of fathers.
As fathers, you shoulder many responsibilities. You are providers, protectors, teachers, and leaders whose dedication and sacrifice help shape future generations. Your commitment to both your families and your professional duties is deeply appreciated. The values you demonstrate—perseverance, compassion, and responsibility—contribute significantly to the strength of our workplace and society.
We recognize that balancing the responsibilities of work and family is no small task. Your ability to lead, nurture, and support both at home and in the workplace reflects qualities that are deeply valued and respected.
Today, we celebrate not only biological fathers but also grandfathers, stepfathers, guardians, mentors, and all men who serve as positive role models and sources of strength and inspiration to others.
We thank you for the important role you play each day and celebrate the positive impact you make in the lives of those who depend on you.
Happy Father’s Day to all our fathers and father figures!
