St Joseph Mercy Hospital is pleased to announce the ISO 9001: 2015 certification. To mark this milestone, Mercy Hospital in collaboration with Global Compliance Service Inc. held a brief ceremony in the presence of the Board of Directors and various press. Global Compliance Service Inc which is the only Accredited ISO Certification Body has been instrumental in training and getting this certification. During the certification ceremony, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Carlton Joao acknowledged the hard work of the executives and staff in achieving this prestigious certification. He also encouraged continuing to strive for quality and standard. He said that certification is the only beginning. The CEO, Mr. Enoch Gaskin encouraged the quality team to continually strive for better quality patient care. This ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors, Executives, Managers, Media, and staff. Sr. Julie Matthews, the Head of the Sisters of Mercy was also in attendance.
Quality Team, headed by Nurse Allen worked strenuously in the past two years towards this achievement. This team will continue to pursue the policy ‘to consistently meet and exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring all staff is informed and trained on the quality management system as the highest priority.
