St Joseph Mercy Hospital held graduation for nurses who successfully completed the Nurse’s Aid Program for the year 2019-2020. The ceremony was held on 6 July 2020 at the hospital. Administration congratulates and wishes all success to these nurses.

In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Director of Nursing, Nurse Maushaun Tyrell expressed that the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital has been in the running the Nurse’s Aide program for over 72 years. This year the program began in August with 300 applicants although 60 were selected due to limited capacity. They were trained by experienced nurses, Mashuan Tyrell, Buedeen Williams-Sills, and Laurelle Daw.

This course included comprehensive medical areas such as Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and so on. 60 students were graduated from the program. Ms. Connie Kellman was the valedictorian and best clinical student and Ms. Lashauni Persaud was awarded the best academic student. We congratulate all the students on their graduation.
